Friday Link Love: Cars, Networking and Beauty

elastigirlHappy Friday! With all the focus on fitness, finances and career, it’s been taking away from blogging. Throw in there a bit of dating and I feel like Elastigirl from The Incredibles being stretched everywhere. The good news is that I’m making progress in all the aforementioned areas and I’m super excited. You know when they say when you’re ready for change, it will happen? Well…it’s happening. Yipee!

I have managed to do quite a bit of reading, both blogs and the huge stack of books I started for the month.

Friday Link Love

Danielle Laporte – Skin, joy, books and the right hair color; My random and rarely dispensed beauty notes

Cupcakes and Cashmere – Networking for Introverts

Budget and The Beach – Emotional Spending and Ipad Mini Giveaway

Canadian Budget Binder – How to tackle financial fears so you have no regrets

This Beautiful Day – Let’s Go Racing

I would so love to do this! I did it once many, many moons ago at Shannonville Motorsport Park in Ontario and it was so much fun, well, aside from they wouldn’t let me shift and I knew how. We had to buzz around the course in 3rd gear, that was the sucky part. The awesome part was they were Porsche’s! That was the day I fell in love with the Carrera 4S.

Making Sense of Cents – How To Know If Freelance Blogging is Right For You

I’ve always wanted to run my own business but could never manage to get up the gumption to give it a go. Writing is one of those things I have enjoyed since high school and I’ve considered taking some freelance writing courses to get something different going. Have you thought about making writing a career or maybe journalism?

Have a fantastic weekend! What were your fave reads this week?

Thank you so much for the mention. Have a great weekend!

  2. I’m not sure writing could ever be my main career, but it definitely helps that it supplements my main source of freelance income. I think if it’s all I did I’d probably enjoy it less for some reason. Thanks for mentioning Shannon’s post on my blog!

You’re quite good at it and you’re successful, that counts! But if there isn’t enough passion behind it, then yes you may not enjoy it.

      You’re most welcome! :)

  3. Am so excited to hear about all of the good stuff happening! Keep us posted :)
